Autumn has always been my favorite season, and I love it even more now that I’m no longer a student or a teacher! I happen to live in the best state for foliage. This week the foliage is at it’s peak, and the roads and shops are crowded with tourists. Soon they will all go home, and we will be left alone to face dreary November….but in the meantime, I’m watching the progress of the maple outside my bedroom window.
Yesterday, I loaded my three little boys into the car to go for a ride (which turned into a nap for one of them!). I needed to check on my favorite locations…. I firmly believe that I live in a photographer’s dreamland. Although I am a Vermonter, I never have grown used to my surroundings, and I never will take them for granted! Last year, our Autumn was cut short by a wind storm. This year, it’s gorgeous! Regardless of my surroundings, people are what interest me…so here are my favorite little people in my favorite surroundings! Can you guess which boy doesn’t mind having his picture taken?
I told him to try not to smile!
His hair was full of rain drops from the downpour we got caught in!
I was devastated to discover that this corn has since been cut down.
I love the awkward poses and smiles!
I asked Z to pose like a big kid….. and I hate to say, he looks the part!
